Artist Statement
I love painting and creating art for the pleasure it provides me and hopefully the viewer. Observing life is inspirational and I am never at a loss for an idea of what I want to create next.
Seeing the world in a positive frame allows the viewer to see what I see, warts and all. Life can be complicated and sometimes difficult but to me looking at a piece of art should be an enjoyable thought provoking experience. This includes the wonderment of why and how the artist created it.
Putting my ideas into an art form with watercolor, acrylics or clay is the challenge. Getting the images from my brain to the project is not an easy process. The feeling of putting the brush into paint and then being able to produce an image I see in my head is a thrill like no other for me.
