Linda was born in East Texas and grew up in Louisiana where she learned to love art. She honed her drawing skills at an early age, but did not pursue painting until she found herself in Oklahoma as an empty nester. Now she has trained under some of the best. Using the teaching skills she used as a public school teacher, she now teaches a number of students in the Tulsa area, oil painting art classes. She is a juried member of Tulsa Artist Guild (TAG.) She holds memberships in Oil Painters of America, The Portrait Society, Daily Paintworks, American Women Artist, National Oil and Acrylic Painters and The American Impressionist Society. Linda lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma and paints daily. She is the founder and organizer of Plein Air Tulsa! Last year in it’s inaugural event year, it was written about in the Plein Air Magazine Newsletter and the January edition of Outdoor Painter. Linda started the Art on the Street project during the Covid Lockdown of 2020. Each day she displayed a painting on an easel in the front yard for anyone to see who came by. It became very popular with neighbors and eventually people came from all over town just to see what was the painting of the day. She received interviews from all four local stations and tons of thank you cards and gifts for the little bit of joy it brought during those strange days.
